Alexandra Maria Lara, a Romanian and German actress working in film and TV is well known for movies such as Rush and Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born as the only children from Romanian actress Valentin Platareanu, Alexandra entered the showbiz world early and was acting in lead roles on various shows on television by the time she was sixteen. Her fame was due to her performance on Der Tunnel. This paved the way for other unforgettable roles, including Adolf Hitler's secretary of state Traudl Junge. The Reader and Der Baader Meinhof Komplex are the other Oscar nominated films that feature models. In the past, Alexandra has been involved in a variety of noteworthy national and international projects. Among others, these projects comprise British biographical films, the British Control Greek Drama film The Dust of Time French Historical Miniseries Napoleon and many more. In addition, she was part of both the Cannes Film Festival jury and Transylvania International Film Festival.
